From next-generation electronics for mobility and industrial specialty applications to the extreme demands of space applications, our customer-driven approach empowers partners to move faster, design smarter, and achieve lasting competitive advantage.
How can we help you take your technology further?
Gelest's potting and encapsulation materials withstand extreme temperatures while shielding components from vibrations, moisture, heat, and contaminants. Our NEW Gelest® self-bonding technology allows for even better protection of sensitive electronic components through low temperature cure bonding to a variety of metals, ceramics and plastics.
Gelest brings extensive expertise in specialized siloxanes and custom formulations designed to withstand the extreme conditions of outer space. Many silicone elastomers used in the development and manufacturing of space-grade devices must remain reliable and flexible at temperatures as low as –100 °C, and Gelest provides materials engineered to meet that demand.
Soft silicone gels are commonly used to protect wire bonds in high-power electronic devices, where they provide heat resistance, electrical insulation, and long-term stability. However, when exposed to elevated temperatures, these gels can gradually harden over time. To address this challenge, Gelest is developing advanced formulations designed to minimize changes in gel properties and maintain consistent performance.

Gelest® PP2-SP01 is a two-part platinum addition cure silicone electronics potting compound that has adhesion without the need for primers. The product also requires lower cure temperatures to obtain adhesion and has higher tensile strength to break than standard competitive products.
Gelest® PP2-SP01Gelest® PP2-ERA01 is a two-part, platinum-catalyzed addition-cure soft silicone adhesive designed for healthcare applications. It is ideal for use on sensors, wound care patches, wearables, drug delivery systems, and other devices where conventional strong adhesives may cause skin damage. This silicone adhesive offers secure attachment while removing cleanly, leaving no residue, minimizing skin reactions, and preventing abrasion upon removal.
Advances in electronic devices have led to densification of electrical components and increased power output. To maintain electronic device performance and longevity, the protective materials used in these devices must also push the limits of performance and be adaptable to new and smaller designs.
Gelest specializes in the custom development of silicone gels and thermally conductive silicones and adhesives. Our tailored approach to formulated silicones can help your organization overcome its thermal management challenges.
EV batteries require reliable high-elongation and thermally conductive silicone gap fillers. Gelest® PP2-TC02 is a category leader, offering broader design possibilities in both processing and performance in service using Gelest's proprietary silicone technology. This high elongation technology yields more robust performance under the mechanical stress caused by thermal cycling or the mismatched coefficient of thermal expansion.
